New platform honeymoon phase (Bear Blog)
This is not my first time writing a blog. I started my first one when I was 13. Now I am 31 and this is probably my fourth.
The first one completely died, and they offered to transfer it to another platform, which became my second blog. But soon after that, the second one became almost unusable. It already had too many ads back then, and now they are everywhere (scary :/).
I started my third one when I was 20, on a Bulletin Board System (BBS). It feels like blogging among friends because BBS is not very accessible to the general public. Nowadays almost no one uses it anymore. I only occasionally write random things without thinking there (and only close friends would see it anyway).
So after all these years, Bear Blog is my fourth blog, and the first one I have ever spent money on. I like being able to insert media without any trouble and having in-depth analytics. And most importantly, I like it being this simple.
I don’t know how long this will last. I guess I just hope this blogging honeymoon phase (again!) won’t fade too soon. :)
